Standards Chair: Mark P Modera
According to the Society TC 5.12 is the cognizant Technical Committee
for:
ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2004, Ventilation for Acceptable
Indoor Air Quality (in Commercial, Institutional and
High-Rise Residential Buildings)
ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.2-2004, Ventilation and
Acceptable IAQ in Low-Rise Residential
Buildings
ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 119-1988 (RA05), Air Leakage Performance
for Detached Single-Family Residential
Buildings
ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 136-1993 (RA01), A Method of Determining
Air Change Rates in Detached Dwellings
Standard Project Committee (SPC) 161P, Air Quality within
Commercial Aircraft. CoC, TC 9.3 is the lead TC.
There are separate committees for writing (P = proposed) and
revision (R) of the above standards. However, basic ventilation
and infiltration research, handbook, honors, and program issues
can be handled by TC 5.12.
If you have an idea for a new standard related to TC 5.12's scope,
please contact the TC's Standards
Subcommittee Chair. If you have research or program ideas
related to the TC's existing or proposed standards or any other
ventilation or infiltration issues, please forward them to the
appropriate subcommittee
Chair. But even more effective is to attend our TC's meetings
and be prepared to work on your and others' ideas! Those who attend
consistently and perform tasks are encouraged to immediately become
corresponding members of the TC and may quickly become voting
members.
